Remembrance 2025

Tuesday 11th November 2025

The Annual Service of Remembrance was held this year on Tuesday 11th November. Old Monovians joined with Students and members of Staff from the Sir George Monoux College, with an opening address given by their Principal, David Vasse.
The Service of Remembrance was held in the Remembrance Quadrangle and lead by Mark Hough, with readings given by Geoff Hotten, Brian Westbury and Andy Thomson. Wreaths were laid in memory of former pupils and students of the School By Brian Westbury and Michael Higgins. The last post was played by Old Monovian Steve Knowles.
After the service, the College offered refreshments and an opportunity for those in attendance to gather together for informal meeting. 

Our thanks goes to those wo organised this annual event; Tracey Straker from the Principal’s office and other members of staff, as well as members of the Old Monovians Association lead by Mark Hough.
We welcome anyone with a connection to the School or College to join with us for these events and look forward to seeing others from our membership next year.
